What you get out of the box
Zero JavaScript on load
The thread is rendered in PHP into the page. A small script loads only when a reader nears the comments, so the page itself stays as fast as it was without them.
Subscriptions built in
Readers can follow replies or a whole discussion, with double opt-in and one-click unsubscribe. No separate "subscribe to comments" plugin.
Leave Disqus behind
Import a Disqus export with a dry run first, in the dashboard or with WP-CLI. Comments land in WordPress, so nothing is lost if you switch back.
About Convocept
A modern comment section with threaded replies, upvotes, subscriptions and a Disqus importer. Zero JavaScript on page load, and every comment stays in your WordPress database.
What it does
Convocept swaps the theme’s comment section for a fast, server-rendered thread: threaded replies, upvotes, pinned comments, email subscriptions, spam protection and moderation in place. It loads no JavaScript until a reader reaches the comments, and it keeps every comment in the native WordPress tables, so Akismet, backups and the Comments screen keep working.
